The men of Greece feared the Maenads, some of whom tore Orpheus apart. This one is from a black figured pottery design by the Brygos painter of the 5th Century BC.

In tomb art, the deceased, in the afterlife, spears fish from a papyrus boat, and hunts birds with a throw-stick. This piece is built up from layers of plywood, then painted.
